Re: speaking of europe 72 |
It is interesting that there are some songs on the tour that don't appear that often, like Morning Dew, or Cumberland ,( or UJB for that matter) , and you wonder why ? Some songs like LLRain get an airing early, then dropped . JBG, a true barn burner in that period, only gets one airing . Black Peter gets one shot, also . Just some oddities that come to mind .

Re: speaking of europe 72 |
They could have swapped a few versions of Jed or MAMU for Cumberland. Also they didn't need to include PITB every night. Surely they could have thrown in some more Dews.
I believe it was just the band's preference to play the songs they did, the amount of times they did.

Re: speaking of europe 72 |
Comes a Time , is another , that I wished they played more on the tour (and player more period ). T. Jed was one of those songs they played so often , to get a good one for the future album . Somewhere , here , there was a discussion of how the prospective album influenced song choice on the tour , I think it was in regard to them playing Sing Me Back Home, often , and not Wharf Rat as often with the idea that SMBH would might go on the album. Playing, already had a live ver. on Skull and Roses/Skull Fuck, but they really cook it out, so I am glad then did it every night !
